The truck had a really weird tarping system. It had a mast that extended about 20' in the air. Then the driver pulled the tarp down with a rope.

thats called a hi-tower tarp system. it helps the driver not tear the tarp.

I can't believe you through away that granite! I would have taken it for free!

.....the worst tarper I ever used. I could hand tarp faster. The pita is getting it to roll up at the dump.

Are you sure it was only 10 tons?:D

I agree with the others, I cringed when I saw all that rock in there. Around here your looking at $20 a ton for rock like that :(

That required quite a lot of work and time on your part. If you don't mind me asking, where did all that rock come from?

filling up a landfill with stone and concrete is a huge waste. paying to toss steel is doubly wasteful and foolish.

take out the yard waste, soil, rock, concrete, and metal that you could have got paid for or at least dumped for free, and how much would it have weighted?

you probably could have stuffed what was left in a couple of garbage bags and thrown them out on the curb.

Ah whatever, the guy wanted to get rid of his mess and not worry with it anymore. I would have done what he did just to avoid the hassle. He saved a lot of money doing the work himself.
