After years of back and forth, had the cash in hand from a couple of deals and went and just bought instead of building a dump trailer.
Ended up with a Homesteader 6 X 10 with two 5200 lb axles (10000 lb capacity their math not mine) Gives us about 7,000 lb actual load capacity and 4.44 cu yd level with the sides. $4261 with tax out the door (still have to buy the tag)
I know, pictures, well at present, it looks just like the homesteader website. After a couple of mods I will snap some shots to show what I change.
Not sure if buying or building was the right decision or not, and may have bought too small,, but I can tell you after looking for quite a while, I should be able to sell it used quite easily.
Now at least when the boss (wife) comes home and tells me to go unload the stuff from the trailer, I get to be an equipment operator instead of a shovel handler
It is going out today to do mulch, not sure how that will work out, but thinking of offering a special next spring where we would deliver mulch to folks house to fill that gap between someone that does not want to buy bagged mulch, but does not want to pay to have someone else do it.
Also looking at buying this massive pile of dirt, that happens to come with one acre of ground underneath it. Then sell small loads of dirt (one to two yards) delivered.
