Lookin good. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Specs - size, capacity etc. How long did it take you to build? How much $$$ invested.

Very nice!
I like the yellow "primer".
I'm sure Kub orange is to follow!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

That is great!
Did you draw up the plans yourself or find some "commercial" plans somewhere? What's the capacity?

How generous of you! Don't bother painting it blue. Just send it common carrier, pre-paid. Can't wait until it gets here. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

That is the final color (saftey yellow). Sorry no kub orange. The plans came out of my head and a little hen scratching on paper, just so that I did not order too much steel. Capacity I don"t know but its 4"W x 7"8'L x 18" high. Tires are 7.50x 16 8 ply. On the test dump I had it level full of wet sand, no problem. Cyclinder is a 3" x 30" stroke. The box is 10ga mild steel, sub frame2"x2"x 3/16", main frame 2 1/2"x2 1/2"x 3/16". Even got leaf springs in it. If I would have had that 20 years ago I could have save handling a million pieces of wood.

Very professional looking job. It looks like it will give you many years of useful service. Thanks for posting the pictures. It's always motivating to see projects like this.

Hazmat.
It took 2 weeks off and on and about 700 bucks. I don't count my time cause I am retired. I had looked at a smaller tandem commercial built and the guy wanted $1500 for it, used. Tandem's are OK in some places but when they turn on soft ground the tear up a lot of real estate.

Your capacity (volume) is 46 cubic feet (about 1.7 cubic yards).

Sand has a density of ~150-160lb/cubic foot. (Depends on how wet it is) = ~7,000 pounds in your test dump

Spiker; Good looking trailer also like that phrase in your sig. I will add some stake pockets and some way to chain the tail gate so that I can dump spread.

Great looking cart! I've got something along those lines in mind to build down the road. What did you end up using for an axle? 7000 lbs. + on one axle is a pretty stout load!

Please excuse my ignorance, I'm new to this ... but do you hook up the hydraulics to the 3PH hydraulics? Pictures of the hookup would be great if you had them.

I just used an old trailer that I had around. Use to be an old military trailer, don't know what it is rated for, but I figured if it broke I could fix it.
The hyd's. hook into the remote outlet that I had put on the tractor when I bought it.Its raining here now but when I get it hooked up again I will take more pic's.

would also like to see where the hydraulics tie in as ive got a couple of unused "looks like hydraulic ports" spots near my pto output shaft on my iseki 4x4 and any other thoughts would be much appreciated also /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Polecat:

my tractor is a JINMA 284 same as a farm pro or old agracat and about 10 other re-badged imports. this one I bought through PUMA-MACHINE
http://www.puma-machine.com guy named Steve good fella with a hearty accent up there in jersey...

hook up for hydraulics on mine is a single outlet, (single acting remote that came on the tractor and is NORMALLY used for a 3 pt trail mower cylinder and it only lifts when the 3pt is raised and pressure is then exerted equally out the fitting to the dump cylinder.) bad thing is mine can over dump if it feel the notion as it is single acting. but my tractor does not have any remotes (YET as that is my first REAL tractor mod project someday soon) once I have remotes I'll have the over dump problem fixed. today just bought a 24x4" tie rod cylinder to use for a 3pt splitter so now I HAVE to get the remotes set up. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

anyhow my trailer is 3" sq x 3/16 wall tube for base & frame with a 7K utility axel. upper frame is 2x2 sq x 3/16 wall. and box is made from 2 sheets of 12 ga hot rolled steel. the top edge is formed on our break with 1.5" by 2" bends and 2" tube fills in the corner edges. tail gate hinges out and or down. with chains for adj opening for spreading though I have not used them as such because the material has not supported dumping. (round 57 would dump great but the creek stone I dump is all different size & shape lots of flat so it is not sued as such, just full open dumping into pile and then flatten with FEL & BOX.
