..is under the stabilizers, pointing downward, with NO protection around it. It's one of the lowest items under the end of the tractor on the KB 2475 backhoe on the CK20.

I did a complete grease job on Sunday, and found both of these had broken off. One was gone completely, the other looked intact until it popped off inside the grease gun nozzle.

I presume these need a metric thread, as the hex part appeared to only fit a 10mm wrench. Can anyone tell me for certain?

What a stupid place to put a grease nipple without any kind of collar around it. I'd weld one on, but I'm not keen on welding upside down, nor taking the thing apart to turn it over. Anyone dealt with this before?

Is it on the end of a cylinder? If so take the stabilizer off and rotate the cylinder 180 degree and put back on.

I have a 2485 backhoe and found the grease nipples breaking off in the grease gun. The factory nipples were found to be thin brass, very flimsy. As they break off I replace them with steel nipples, five so far. Mine are standard SAE, 1/8, I think.

I don't have the backhoe for my CT122/ CK20, but the grease zerks on the tie rods that I have had to replace were metric.
