Dual Wheels on 276 Versatile

I'm considering putting dual wheels on my Ford Versatile 276 mk 2. I all ready have the wheels and spacers but don't want to fit the spacers because it will make it to wide for transporting and would have to hire a pilot vehicle. So is it possible by changing the wheel centres around to get enough clearance particularly on the front axel?

Pilot vehicle? Where are you? If you're that worried about running the road with the tractor.... What are you going to pull?

A lot of rim shops can answer that question and possibly buy your wrong sized spacers.
