My phantom 2 nearly cut my toe off Christmas morning. I was promptly forbidden to play with it in the house any more!
It sure ain't no rubber band powered glider.

Just a thought, but you may want to have the throttle in the off position prior to turning on the power supply. :dance1:

I have tears in my eyes ....I laughed so hard.
Glad you didn't get hurt. You have cat-like reflexes.
Is the drone o.k.?
Did I just hear some Finnish curse words?

For those that haven't checked out his you tube site, you are missing some great videos. My Wife's favorite is his road trip on his tractor pulling a load of wood. Nice 30 minute ride on the backroads of Finland.

When he posts a new video I get notified on my Cell Phone. I'm never disappointed. :)

He's right. I subscribed ........last year?
And it just occurred to me that "videos" is the first place I check on TBN, looking for Metsman videos. It's been that way for a year or so.
Don't change a thing Metsa. Just keep doing what you do.

I crashed my Phantom III on it's first flight. Waited weeks for the repair parts to arrive. After spending 3 hours repairing it, I fired it up in the house, not thinking about the fact that it needs GPS to fly well........when it started to drift across the room my idiot reaction was to grab it. Sliced across my wrist and fortunately for me also hit a piece of furniture at about the same time it hit me so it stopped the blades. It cut thru the skin, down to the white tissue underneath....just barely stopping before the blood vessels. I was lucky.

After I tried to cut my toe off with my xmas present phantom 2, I did my 2nd bonehead move.
I was standing out in fromt of my shop where I have a big shade tree. I sat on the ground carefully read the instruction about setting the GPS calibration. Under the tree. In the shade.
Finally moment of truth.
Lit it up, took off and carefully played a bit with it only about 3 or 4 ft from ground. Walked out to wide open area dust in case while flying it. Life is good.
Got braver and braver. Higher and higher and farther and farther.
Then auto home kicked in.
Drone went straight up, flew directly over that shade tree in front of shop and gently landed in the very top of it!
Next pictures were blurry from my wife laughing so hard taking them if my butt climbing that tree like a school kid to get my precious toy!

Autohome mode make Drone land close as possible on that point where it was activated (power on)... interesting and good feature I think but can also make troubles like You ... not funny at all. .
