Suggestions and options.
Use barbed fittings. In the fall you can roll the hole thing up. For the main line I would use either 3/4 or 1" back poly pipe. Again it can be rolled up. What is the water source?
The other must haves on drip system is a good filter. Otherwise the emmiters get plugged up and lead to problems. The 2nd must have is a pressure regulator. Drip systems are low pressure 15 to 40 PSI.
On setup it is important to flush the tubing before attaching the emmiters - they tend to plug fairly easily.
I believe netafilm and perhaps DIG make a "soaker" tubing that would work in a garden setting. That would save having to mess with emmiters.
I like drip irrigation systems there are several advantages. Water savings, water directly to the root zone, etc.
