"drag link": alternatives, B21

Is there an alternative to replacing the entire drag link (p/n 32721-57713), which goes for over $200 USD?

One end has an annoying bit of play in the end.

The ends look pretty much like "tie rod ends" but are welded and not threaded. I can live with it till it breaks, at that price.

I may attempt to find something close and do a cut and weld.

Buy some DOM tubing and tie rod ends and make your own. It might be the taper on the ends are standard but you'll need to measure them.

That crossed my mind, but this one has a curve or bend in it. I'll look more closely tomorrow to see if that really matters. I have no means of bending DOM tubing.
