Some pretty serious fires going on in South Australia. Hope Vin is OK.

Thanks for the thought, the Eyre peninsular where the fires were is about 400 miles away so I was very safe. Nine people dead, I understand that more than 10,000 sheep died and as many will need to be put down.

It was an incredible day, temp soared into the 40s 110f across the state. Here at home it got to 45c or 113 f

Glad you're OK. I saw some video from the area and read a story about a mom and her kids that were trying to get away in a car and were burned to death. Terrible situation.

Glad your not in the midst of the fire ...but putting up with that kind of heat would be tough. Since your in a houseboating paradise I'd guess your not in the desert ....but you must be close.
It's 22 f here, with a little snow making driving trecherous. Still sounds better than 113 f ....and I'm an avid boater. That even sounds to hot for enjoyable boating.

It is pretty desert less here if it wasn't for the river which starts over a 1000 mile away. Our heat is very dry only 10% humidity most of the time.

Ahhh, I bet your 113 F is easier to put up with than our 85 to 90 degrees with 80% humidity.
I hope you enjoy your summer ....I can't wait for ours to get here.
We only get 4 to 5 months of boating. Houseboats can stretch it to 6 months most years. How about where you are, can you boat year round?

90 degrees with 80% humidity would be unbearable.

Sure can housebout all year, our winter days are glorious, clear skies 20c or 68f.
