Dong Feng

When I first started looking for a tractor in March 2004
the first tractor I looked at was a Dong Feng ( private label was
" BULLDOG" )and my first couple of posts on T B N was about this tractor, because not too many people had info about Dong Feng and the fear of parts not being available two years later I started looking at other brands eventually buying a Mahindra. Out of curiousity, did I make the right decision in relation to Dong Feng, How is Dong Feng doing a year later? have they become popular or are they on the verge of extinction.
I almost never see them mentioned on this forum.

Ron, for what it's worth, I've spoken to the DF importer/distributor I purchased mine from (TaskMaster) and while they are not Bulldogs mine is made by DF. The distributor has just moved to a new bigger location and can't keep the tractors in stock... Maybe you don't hear about them much on this forum, cause they don't break.

Judging from the number of replies to this post, it appears
D F has not increased its market share of the Chinese Tractor market in the U.S.

I was looking at the 38 hp tractor,with Koyker FEL, Chinese 7 ft backhoe for $16500.00, the tractor was impressive and the price was good, I just did not get a good feeling about the dealer, he did not seem too committed to the brand since he was also rebadging Kama and selling them also. At the time D F was fairly new to the Northeast.
