Don’t buy mahindra

My uninformed opinion is that OP has a legit gripe but this post-from-nowhere is a clumsy attempt to pressure corporate to fix it ASAP.

But in this case the problem seems to be with the Mahindra rep making a decision to fix it under warranty or not, seems like everything is on hold until the rep makes what should be a pretty simple decision
Yes they might have trouble getting the proper parts to fix it but that’s no reason for the rep to be wasting 2 weeks to make a relatively simple decision about weather it should be covered under warranty or not.
I remember when I first joined the forum, (2005), there was a Mahindra rep. who was a member here. If not mistaken he said he was here to monitor complaints. Must have been fired.

I agree. And I throw the dealer under the bus for that delay.
I talked to 2 different dealerships who had formerly carried Mahindra. (So take with a grain of salt). Both gave the same story of frustration that corporate would not honor warranty claims. These guys have been around for 30 plus years in the business. Maybe disgruntled, but when I hear the same problem it gives me reason to pause.

Like with any company's warranty, you never really know until you need it.

Mahindra is the Taurus of tractors. Some people love them and get great service but there are a few who get the oinkers. I have been lucky with mine so far. My dealer is great and I keep up the maintenance. Hard to know who abuses them or ignores them. My service tech swears that 90% of the hobby owners do zero maintenance. He had one that would not start the other day. He poured some gas onto the concrete and you couldn't light it with a match. He is of the opinion that Mahindra's are good machines, the new owners, not so much. I trust the warranty like I trust Putin.

Taurus has really upped their game lately so that might not be fair to them. Kidding. My mahindra dealer quit carrying them he says because he was selling another brand 3 to one because mahindra had raised their prices so much. I bought my 2810 in 04 and it has never been to a dealer.

And your warranty is only as good as your dealer.

Mahindra warranty isn’t worth the glue they use to stick the 7 year sticker on the side of the tractor with. This is a 2019 2655 hst cab with 300 hours. Front wheel, axle and all fell out while moving sand. It’s been in the shop for 2 weeks and the Mahindra rep, who I can’t talk to, has not authorized repair yet.
Local dealer stopped carrying them here. Was a New Holland / Mahindra dealership. Had been Mahindra dealer for years. I heard they kept trying to make things right with consumers to protect their own reputation but couldn't get paid by Mahindra. I never owned one myself. I loiked the blue ones.

Hmmm, I have the twin sister of yours (made by TYM - 2555 shuttle cab) with at least twice the hrs, no issues at all. Warranty service was done on-site by my dealer - electrical stuff.

I don't have issues speaking with my Mahindra rep, in fact, the dealer gave me his direct # - only used it once, and it wasn't because of a lack of service.

Have to wonder if A) Are you using the same dealer that you bought the tractor from? I've heard, but not experienced, some dealers aren't extremely keen on servicing someone else's tractor - folks that buy from Mr. El Cheapo, but expect Rolls Royse service from a closer dealer. B) As others have mentioned earlier. What other damage or lack of PM/Maintenance has or hasn't been done to the tractor - Have you been greasing bearings and checking for loose bolts? Or, finally. C) Could it be that you are just Waaaay too impatient? Isn't it possible that the paperwork is going through the proper channels and seriously, 2 weeks really isn't that long for a "Non-Emergency" issue after all, I doubt you make your living off that tractor - if you did you'd probably have an older spare hanging around somewhere.

Just my two cents. Oh BTW, I agree this is just an unwarranted rant/slam on a dealer.

Gee, the commercials always show smiling suburbanites with nice, clean tractors and clothes that never get dirty no matter what they are doing.

Sigh. Another illusion, shattered...

Kubota's too are known for wiping out front axle bearings when using the loader with heavy material. NOT above what it should do, mind you, but heavy material often kills the front ends. FELs on Ag tractors are probably made for hay and horse manure removal. Not buckets of sand, stone and rocks. I hope they warranty it. My theory is... If the arms can lift it, the tractor should handle it.
