She had cancer on her leg, we removed it twice, the 3rd time it worked its way up her leg and into her stomach. On her last day I took her to our farm and wore her out and then took her to the vet and put her to sleep. It was a really hard day for me, she was in great shape except for the cancer. She is now buried on our farm by my gate waiting for me to come and visit.

Sorry for your loss. I had a similar experience. I had a very smart 6 year lab that developed cancer in his upper gums. The day I had him put to sleep I took him out to my farm and let him run with me riding the four wheeler. he ran about ten miles and was not ready to come home. I knew That would be his last run because I stopped and got him a sausage biscuit and he could not keep it in his mouth to swallow it. The cancer never weakened him! I now have a soon to be 11 year old Lab that was at a pound and I got him when he was six. Best dog I have ever had. I really think he knows English! We had him two weeks when he figured out that when we put church clothes on he is not going. Those days he just goes in our bedroom and lays down. we don't have to tell him anything.

I had 4 from the same litter of 6.
Terrier, Chihuahua mix.
They had things figured out.
If I was going out
I'm fed up. Everytime I try to complete this entry It either can't be posted or only partially.
This isn't the only one over the last week or so.

Dogs are good for people. This neighbor gal attends school here (MI Tech) and heading home for the summer. She was afraid of dogs when she moved in, now look at her. Everyone will miss her!

We don't live far from Mi Tech so we have some homes on our street with students. These kids typically don't have snow blowers or the gumption to properly keep themselves scooped out so I'll run my 6x6 down there and push there snow out.. School was done this week and kids leaving for the summer but yesterday one came by and gave us a basket full of dog treats and a gift certificate for a nicer locale restaurant.

Coming out from the shed and I have someone stalking me

She's funny, I never know if she knows I see her, but she'll belly crawl and try and sneak up on me and surprise me add then run circles around me. Out of all the dogs we've had, she's the only one who does that.

That's pretty funny she must be a pretty playful dog I think you should act surprise to make it a game and built her confidence at the same time.

I do, but she likes it more when I crouch and try to sneak up on her right in front of her where I know she sees me.

Yes, she is very playful. We're only down to two, and the larger black one is starting to get old know.

The funny thing is the playful one we found 8 yards in front of the house under the boxwood as a puppy.

Our house sits no where close to the road, and if anyone comes down our driveway, at that time, we had 4 or 5 dogs and they all would go ballistic in the house. We have no clue how in the heck she ended up so close to the house.

All the above passed away within the last 2 years. Been a rough couple of years for us.

The house seems a lot quieter now vs 3 years ago with our 2 boys and my dad living with us along with at least 5 dogs and 3 cats. Now it's just my wife and I, 2 dogs and 2 cats. Our pet food goes a lot longer now though.

When working in the shop, she's right there. Mowing on the tractor,
she greets me when I'm done and "leads" me back to the barn. Always
ready to go anytime and anywhere I do. Wants to know, or be a part of
whatever my wife and I are doing. She's still not stranger friendly but
she's a great farm dog. Protects her turf and has plenty of freedom and
room to run. Couldn't be happier with this dog.
