I had gotten a lab/collie mix puppy around November or early December some years ago. It snowed around Christmas and there was snow on the bank of the pond. I don't know if the puppy had ever seen water before, but she decided to go for a swim in the pond.

Someplace I have a picture of my last dog swimming in early spring with ice in the background. Not only did she love to swim but preferred to squat in running water. I've seen her stand in a stream in February to go to the bathroom.

12.5yo. I'm diabetic, deaf, half blind, have to be hand fed, skin rashes, ear infections, just diagnosed with an inoperable bladder tumor and now having a bout of vertigo.
But I'm not going anywhere yet!

My wife is a saint for caring for her.

The morning we participated in MI tech parade of nations here in Houghton MI. Pep band members and kids in general coddling the muts. Socialized dogs are soooo good for people. I'll post more as I process them.
