Just remember...

Why Dogs Are Better Than Women

Dogs don’t cry.

Dogs love it when your friends come over.

Dogs don’t care if you use their shampoo.

Dogs think you sing great.

A dog’s time in the bathroom is confined to
a quick drink.

Dogs don’t expect you to call when you are
running late.

The later you are, the more excited dogs are
to see you.

Dogs will forgive you for playing with other
dogs.

Dogs don’t notice if you call them by another
dog’s name.

Dogs are excited by rough play.

Dogs don’t mind if you give their offspring away.

Dogs understand that flatulence is funny.

Dogs love red meat.

Dogs can appreciate excessive body hair.

Anyone can get a good looking dog.

If a dog is gorgeous, other dogs don’t hate it.

Dogs don’t shop.

Dogs like it when you leave a lot of things
on the floor.

A dog’s disposition stays the same all month
long.

Dogs never need to examine the relationship.

Dogs love long car trips.

Dogs understand that instincts are better than
asking for directions.

When a dog gets old and starts to snap at you
incessantly, you can shoot it.

Dogs like beer.

Dogs don’t hate their bodies.

No dog ever put on 100 pounds after reaching
adulthood.

Dogs never criticize.

Dogs agree that you have to raise your voice
to get your point across.

Dogs never expect gifts.

Dogs don’t worry about germs.

Dogs don’t want to know about every other dog
you ever had.

Dogs like to do their snooping outside as
opposed to in your wallet, desk and the
back of your sock drawer.

Dogs don’t let magazine articles guide their lives.

Dogs would rather have you buy them a hamburger
dinner than a lobster one.

You never have to wait for a dog. They’re ready
to go 24 hours a day.

Dogs have no use for flowers, cards, or jewelry.

Dogs don’t borrow your shirts.

Dogs never want foot rubs.

I just saw this post. It’s fantastic!

I will use this. Thanks for posting!

Nah

My wife has a different list...

WHY DOGS ARE BETTER THAN MEN

Dogs do not have problems expressing affection in public.

Dogs miss you when you’re gone.

Dogs don’t criticize your friends.

Dogs don’t laugh at how you throw.

Dogs don’t feel threatened by your intelligence.

You can train a dog.

Dogs are easy to buy for.

Dogs understand what no means.

Dogs understand if some of their friends cannot come inside.

Middle-aged dogs don’t feel the need to abandon you for a younger owner.

Dogs aren’t threatened if you earn more than they do.

That is also funny. Keep em coming!

I want a dog that has an income. Do they pay taxes in it?
Eddie has one of those, but I suspect it all gets turned back into the dog.
To your other question; the owner would be the one paying the taxes.

Our three current fur-kids. All from rescues, all great pups with unique personalities.

From the left: Alvin is a 7 month old boxer pup, easy to train and eager to please. He was born with a cleft palate, didn't/couldn't nurse for a full day after he was born and wasn't expected to pull through. Mia's Foundation picked him up and tube fed him for about 5 weeks. At 8 weeks old he was 5.2lbs when we got him; he is 48lbs now and healthy as a horse. Content to hang out with me while I work outside unless Boone is around. He likes to chase Boone, and Boone doesn't mind.

Boone is 4.5 years old, probably a Viszla/pit mix, a little wary and mostly serious. We've had him since he was about a year old and he was tough to train but he obeys well now. He guards his mama well when I am away from home.

Fiona is 7ish, have had her about a year. She was picked up on the streets in Jersey, half starved (Jersey Pits Rescue does good things for pitties. They dropped a lot of coin fixing her up). She loves her people, food and rides. Food's first, though.

Last weekend was the Ft Worth Specialty. It was the biggest dog show in the country with people coming there from Coast to Coast. There where 32 Akita's there, including the number one ranked Akita.

The first day was Friday. Matsu was brought out as one of the top three for a second look. The judge did something we have never seen before. After she put her hands on him and felt his muscles, checked his manhood to be sure he was intact, and looked at his teeth, she walked away, then turned around real fast and went to touch him again. Our handler didn't anticipate this and she wasn't holding his head properly. Matsu snapped at the judge, which scared her real bad. This could have been very bad, but we think that because the judge knew she had made a mistake, she just kicked him out of the ring instead of banning him from the show. The number 1 Akita in the nation won Best of Breed and we got nothing that day.

Saturday, the judge awarded Best of Breed to a female Akita that we know very well and consider her to be a very nice girl. Matsu received Best of Opposites, which means the judge thought he was the very best male Akita there, which also means he beat the number 1 Akita in the country.

On Sunday, Matsu won Best of Breed, which also means he beat the number 1 Akita in the country.

He is just getting back into showing after AKC closing down for most of last year. We switched handlers this year because of issues we had with our previous handler. The new handler is in her 20's and her husband is also a handler. They trained under one of the very best and well known handlers in the country. In order to win, the handler has to know the breed better then the judges, but also they have to know the judges and what they expect. Since you get a different judge every day, it's really important to understand the subtle differences in order to win.

The first picture was taken from a video that somebody took during the show. I think it's kind of amazing that the show was in Ft Worth TX, the video was seen in Spokane WA, where the picture was taken from the video, and then the picture was sent to Matsu's breeder in North Battleford SASK and then I saw in on FB here in Tyler TX

At every show, there is a professional photographer that you can pay for a photo. It's expensive, but according to my wife, "we have to have it"!!!

FtWorth2021.jpg

One of the things that amazes me is how much he wants to go to dog shows. When my wife pulls up the van, he loses his mind wanting to get into it. I weigh 260 pounds. Matsu weighs 115 pounds. I can barely control him on the leash going from the dog yard to the van!!! He is pulling so hard that I'm afraid he will get away, or hurt himself, trying to get into the van.

Here is a link to a video taken when he won BOB on Sunday. You have to go to the 2 min 20 sec point to see Matsu being named the winner. Since there where so many Akita's at this show, they work it down to the best boys and girls, and then they are the ones that make it to the final judging. In my opinion, Matsu really stands out next to the other Akita's. Thankfully, the judge thought so too!!!

I'm not sure if this link will work. It's on my FB page, which I shared from a friend who took the video. If you want to see it, and the link doesn't work, you can try to copy the link and open it in a new page. That worked for me when I tested it. If not, I'm sorry, I think it's pretty cool, but I'm also very biased. :)
