Out to the mail box and this one decides to play in the leaves.



She really has come along way since finding her at the office off the airport.

Watching her and her buddy run after each other, they remind me of our first very two dogs my wife and I found, playing "tag" with each other (those two had been with us over 10 years and they both went within a month of each other).

Time sure flys. My one boy has hands bigger than me now and the other used my dress shoes for a band concert last night.

This is my new Labrabull. (half Lab and half Pit Bull) He just kind of showed up about a month ago eaten up with ticks. It's like someone just dropped him off on the side of the road hoping someone would pick him up.

You can tell he was a house dog and that he's accustom to rides in cars as he always wants to come in the house and get into vehicles. I'm more of an outside dog kind of guy though.

We let the animal shelter get him to see if they could find the owners and they couldn't so we got him after several weeks. He's a big, hyper baby. I had to get my Mom to hold him to get him to where I could get some good pictures. I'm thinking whoever dropped him off couldn't deal with him stuff in a house in the city so maybe they brought him out here in the country. He does great in our big back yard but he doesn't like to be put in small spaces at all.

Looks more lab than pit. Not really seeing pit. I sure hope he works out for you, second chance dogs can be GREAT dogs.

I must disagree. He's Lab and somekind of Bull Dog. The animal control center thinks he's half Lab/half Pit as that's apparently become a popular mix and they claim that's what he looks like. He looks almost just like my old dog I had as a teenager Scooter who we got as a puppy. She was a Labrabull. She had a sudden heart attach at about age 4 or 5. He's got much of a Pits personality as well. General very friendly and playful but sometimes that sudden, agressive, quick/snap crap that I'm going to have to check if he gets too bad. If one of my other dogs has something he wants he's quick to get loud and jump in their face for it. Most of the time he's very friendly, playful and happy though. Also like a pit he seem the need to demonstrate how strong his jaw is. You could give him an Elephants femur and he'd figure out how bite it into most nothing within an hour or two. You sure wouldn't want him to put his mouth on you in aggression as he has a very strong bite.

After seeing that last picture, he does look like he is part pit. No question in my mind now. Be careful of that breed with a short fuse.

This is little Misty. She is from Prairie Wind Kennel in Cheyenne, WY. She is super well breed and a very sweat natural girl. She is 6 months old and we are very excited about her.

The black puppy on the dog bed with Misty is Cooper. He is out of our kennel and he is 6 months old also. They are best buds.

My daughter's Akitas enjoying their natural element: Snow! Can't hardly get the female (black one) to come in the house.

I had a long coat Akita, she'd only come inside in really cold weather when she got lonely (well, after she got old and arthritic she was a little more willing to come in). She couldn't pass by a snow pile without rolling in it.
