Good looking dogs, SteveMiller. I can't recall ever seeing a dog so black and with such a good looking coat.

We call her Ivy, grandson say Ivydog lab hound rescued from pound eight years ago survived Parvovirus virus as pup, 2 sheets of chocolate, two Pizza doe balls and ran over once. Sleeps or begs for treats most of the time now. Oh she is a bread thief too can count the times I went to get a sandwich only to find she stole the bread again. Smart, loyal and downright good companion. I'm disabled now and she rarely leaves my side I guess returning the favor of me caring for her.

You could do worse than a bread-thieving dog friend.

One of my Springers took the pizza right out of my father-in-law's hand just as he was about to take a bite. A millionth of a second kind of thing. Since pizza was his favorite, he ate with his hand circling his plate and the pizza hidden close to the table after that. Pretty tough to make it to 92 years of age and have to guard your supper like a six year old.

We all loved the dog and since it was a meat lover pizza after all we called it OK. :laughing:

The older one (Mya) gets an egg everyday with her dry food. The youngest (Rudy) will get that as well once she hits six months.

Toe nail cutting day. They do this every time I show em the cutters. Its like "look the other way, then it's not real".

My heeler would resist and nip at me if I went cut her nails. Until I started rewarding each clipped nail with a treat. Then she would put her paw on my lap and look at the clippers.

Inherited this dog from an old fella who was no longer able to keep her when he went into a rest home 3 yrs. ago when she was 12 yrs. old. Now at 15 hard of hearing and almost totally blind she still likes to play and act like a pup when shes not sleeping.Very gentle and laid back had her for mons. before ever hearing her bark and has only done it a couple times since .

Your a good man for taking her in, I often worry what will happen to my animals when the time comes that I cannot take care of them anymore (hopefully awhile from now) I hope I'm as lucky as that fella.
