Now she (Kirby my old girl) watched TV for the first time. The commercial for that Cat Toy came on. She was laying beside the bed about 1/2 awake. When that commercial came on, Perked right up and stared at the TV. When they didn't show the cats she would look at me. Soon as the cats came back on, she went back to watching TV. When the commercial was over, a quick look at me & back to sleep.

Funny! ours do the same thing, especially if they hear a dog barking on TV,
The other day Directv announced a new channel ( 354 ) dedicated for Dogs, it is a free trial until 14th, then if you want to subscribe to it there will be a fee, I tuned in and watch about 15 minutes, what a Boring program, My hounds would never watch that stuff, Now if they were to show squirrels or rabbits running across the screen, they might try ripping the TV apart to get to them, LOL

My dogs know if it's a real dog or a fake dog on TV. The ears perk up for the real McCoy but they snooze through the human generated barks.

Petunia attacks the tv any time any animal is on TV. Gets me how she knows they are animals, especially the ones she had never seen before.

My old girl is becoming a TV addict.
Mountion goat with a baby came on, every time the Kid bleated she would watch until the picture went away.
3 or 4 minuets & she went on to bed.

Happy or Sad?

I apologize for those who find this disturbing, it certainly is, or the image evoked emotions in me. I think the dog is going to make it, and for someone, it's a wonderful moment

I think that is wonderful! It shows how a bond is created, between a vet or a tech, and the patient, even in a short time. I think that dog will make it too! Thanks for sharing!

Any dog that you can help is a good thing.

I'd have to say happy. My Dad is a retire veterinarian, your pict brought back some happy memories of helping animals and their owners. Us kids were pretty lucky because he always included us in the business. Two of my Sisters and a couple Cousins became vet tech because of my Father and another Sister went into medicine. Thanks for the picture.

Dogs' lives are too short. Their only fault, really.

That's the truth, They can be pretty darn special.

I think it was Kipling who pointed out that GOD blessed us by keeping their lives relatively short, reasoning that if losing them after such a short span is so traumatic and causes such grieving, how much worse would it be if we had them for decades.

My S-I-L and niece volunteer for a local pitbull/pitbull mix rescue called Pitty Love and the enclosed pictures are some of the abandoned puppies they are fostering.

I've been trying to load our dog pictures up here to no avail, but I'll keep trying.

My sister adopted a 4 month old pup pit from Pitty love. He is almost 2 years old now and is a total clown. Yes he is a pit bull but I don't think he has a aggressive bone in his body. He was one of the lucky ones and got a great forever home with endless attention and a warm bed. They are unfortunately not all so lucky.
