Here is my boy Louey.Welsh Pembroke Corgi. Very smart and great family dog. But never stops shedding even at the coldest point of winter. Vacuum always running daily.

Beautiful dog. Are you sure about her being a lab/shepherd cross? She looks like a full blood solid black German Shepherd. I've had one solid black GS male and she sure looks like he did.

I don't know if any of you read this article about Jon Tumilson, a Navy Seal that lost his life in that helicopter crash that took out 22 of our best. But this is a picture of his chocolate lab, Hawkeye, at his funeral. Says it all about the bond between a man and his best friend. Heart wrenching story.

Beautiful dog. Are you sure about her being a lab/shepherd cross? She looks like a full blood solid black German Shepherd. I've had one solid black GS male and she sure looks like he did.

Thanks, she has a wonderful personality. She is an alpha female who marks her territory like a male on our walks, plus she's very competitive. But she accepts all other dogs and has never been in a fight. If other dogs win in a chase-the-stick game, she accepts it and wags her tail. It is the same with her food, she never gets upset if others eat at her dish and if our cat wants some while she's eating she backs away and watches until he's finished.

We saw her mother who was definitely a lab. We did not see the father but the rancher where we got her said it was an Australian shepherd. But I wonder--because Australian shepherds have floppy ears as does a lab. So why do her ears stand up? I think her father must have been a black shepherd.

Nice--looks like my dog's best friend from across the road, Sadie. Sadie is a mastiff/rottweiler cross. She's massive and looks fearsome. Yet she's the kindest, gentlest dog you can imagine.

A photo of the two is attached. My dog is over 70 pounds so you can imagine how much Sadie weighs.

This is Barley, my 4 year old golden, crossing Lake Champlain at the end of a 14 day, 5200 mile sidecar adventure from Vermont over the Great Lakes and back home via US farm country. He now has 15,000 miles under his collar.

On the left is Kazoo, and on the right is Tullamore. Both are 20 months old. Kazoo (so named because of the delightful sounds he makes) is a mama's boy and afraid of the world. Tully is much more curious about the world around him and I hope to get him trained to sidecar with me.

This is Tadcaster. My gun dog. My soul dog. A phenomenal companion lost to cancer at the age of five just a few months ago. God how I miss that boy!

This is Buddy, our labrador retriever. He was abandoned some time last summer when he was about 6 - 8 months old so we ended up adopting him last year on Labor Day. He really looks at home in the snow.

He is all Rottweiler, he is my sons dog, we are taking care of him while his home is being renovated... I think we will really miss him when he moves out !

Spent the last hour lookin at all the mistreated mutts and had to send a pic of "Heidi" We got her from a shelter after someone abandoned her at about 18 mos. She's having some trouble finding her toys lately, so she got some cheaters...
