Gus is a long haired Weimaraner....**** of a dog too.

The breed is recognized by most breed registries, but not AKC. Not knocking the dog, just adding a tidbit of info. I don't care if he is papered, or not, if he hunts, but he needs papers to work in certain field trials.

This is my youngest, Kinley. She is a brindle colored English Mastiff. She can't get close enough, always has to cuddle, but is the most gentle dog I've ever had.



She always sleeps with her tongue sticking out :laughing:

My big Girl is a Mastiff mix. Quite the girl, Very gentle but scary to folks that don't know her. Will not bite, not even rabbits that she loved to chase when in good health. Here method of protection was to jump up and knock people down, if they were considered a threat. She also hates dopers.

My 2 outside girls are genuine mutts, Heinz 57 variety. Both very smart. I have very little use for a pure bread, too many have quirks or genetic problems.

This is kilo our PD k-9. Her specialty is drug searches. As a past k-9 handler I will often Baby Sit when her partner goes on vacation. Great dog.

History 2 on TV had a real good show on Dogs & wolves. I watched most of it twice.

My dogs understand what I say better than I understand what they say. 3 Dogs and 3 different ways of saying the same thing.
My big girl had a howl that would have made a wolf blush. If I left her home and went some place, she could be heard for over a mile.
If she wants water or food she looks at me & sits down. If she wants out she breathes real hard and shakes her head.

Any of the 3 does what I ask even when almost whispered. Sometimes they take a little time to see if they really want to do it or if I really mean it.

Hah, yup! There are many times when I wish she was born a chiwawa, like when she smacks me in the face with her paw and leaves scratch marks across my cheek! :laughing:

Here is a pic of our oldest dog, Newman. He just had ACL surgery, he's with my parents and my son in this pic.
