Does your fuel gauge actually work?

/ Does your fuel gauge actually work? #23
Fuel gauge is fine on mine. Yes, it stays at F or above for the first couple gallons, then it drops quick. Not an issue, when I am at 1/2 tank or a little less it takes 5 gallons. When it's all the way down to E it takes 7-8. I prefer that to sputter sputter shake stop.

Fuel gauge yes, temp not so much.

The way to get the temp gauge to move off 1/4 is to bush hog or mow really thick and wet grass for long periods. It helps if the grille in front is partly packed with grass clippings. It's the only way I ever got the gauge to move.

L2800 gauage doesn't show the correct level of fuel in tank, thats okay because I diesel up most everytime before use...learn that from Farmall H many years ago. ;)

My BX24 gauge stopped working and I traced it to a ground at the left rear. Worked fine since but it does fluctuate a little on rougher ground. Lets me know whenI need to come in and fill OK.
