Well fellows a follow up to this scam. I responded through e-bay. I never try to go outside of ebay. I would never send money. I contacted the fellow through e-bay message. Responded to my inquiry . Here are the questions I asked him: " Where is the item located?" It didn't state in the ad and I didn't want to drive clear across the U.S to look at it and find out it was a scam. E-Bay sent me this response from through their message system. "I am located in Brooklyn N.Y." That is about 400 miles from me so at that price I would take it. So I sent him a message back. But I did not go through e-Bay message. I just clicked on reply. Here is what I said. ( Ok, I will take it, Give me your name, address and phone number. I will click the "buy now button". But I will not wire the 50% deposit you requested. I will leave tomorrow morning and inspect vehicle and go to your bank and I will have all the money wired to me and give you the cash. I will not carry any cash on me, too many scams and people are now getting robbed). I clicked respond, but some reason it didn't go through e-bay. I went through a line or e-mail he had in the heading. (I did"nt see it) After that, I don't know how, he attacked my computer and couldn't correspond with E-Bay, couldn't read any of my e-mails, or delete any. I unplugged my computer, and internet. Tonight I finally got it to log back on and a message from e-Bay security system said he tried to hack my account but was unsuccessful. Lesson learned.
