Does Kubota offer front weights for ZD12/11 / ZD1511 ?

I might try that. Do the weights “clang” a lot? Any drawbacks?

Wonder if they hasten the demise of the front axle pivot bearing?

Definitely have to remove weights to clean deck???

Zoom in on the set screw bolt that locks weights down tight with jamb nut.

There is also a 3/4 pin all the way thru the weights & bracket at the bottom.

The weight is on the axle & tires : NOT the machine.
No extra weight on the axle pivot bearings.

The same as fluid filled tires.

The axle will still pivot up to raise machine.

No need to remove weights.

No clang or loose motion at all.

It’s a Win Win imo

I got my new ZD1611 weighted up front like my older ZD1511.
Weights are 25lbs each & brackets are 20lbs each.

Each side will hold a 3rd weight but the 140lbs keeps the front end down climbing these steep farm banks here.

A ZD owner isn’t going to cobble up his Diesel mower

Fix it right the first time & be done with it.
