A 2016 Branson 4720h does it have a clutch in the transmission ? Using Tractor in 3 gear a lot will that wear out the trans faster I can hear it bypass hyd fluid some times?

Or is it like a car with a Torque converter

It isn't like a torque converter. It's probably a lot like a very large hydraulic Orbit motor.

Lots of pressure bypass operation heats the fluid, and makes the engine work excessively hard, wasting fuel and increasing wear on drive components.

You should not be experiencing this in normal working conditions., if so, select a range or two lower.

Ok thanks my land has a lot of hills and raise spots so it like from flat land up a small hill to next flat some times I would hear it bypass for a sec just as it comes over the crest . But I'll drop it down a gear to cut the wear down .
