Mine should show up today. My productivity the rest of this week will bottom out......
I plan to use auto land as well.
Suitcase is Microcopter Pro... here are a few pics. I think I could drop off a roof and it would protect the quad. As far as blade guards, a landing on uneven ground and a gust of wind with some prop wash can easily tip it... manual or auto landing. Highly recommend. I got cocky and removed mine thinking I didn't need it. I ended up with my bird upside down and small burn marks in my wood deck from the prop hubs and some marred blades. Put them back on.I've been thinking about a suitcase for it. I want to take it with us when we go on camping trips and get arial photos of various areas, so I think that's likely a good idea for me. On the prop guards, I haven't been courageous enough to get close to trees yet (I fly at 200' to ensure I avoid them
It is quite a luxurious toy... whatever you do... don't calculate the $$$/flight because it isn't something you go fly as often as you might think when you are thinking of getting one. Still very fun to take video and stills from a vantage point pretty much impossible until now.
That's the key... time and decent editing software and you can put together some stuff that makes for nice show at family gatherings, special events, etc. and have a lot of fun doing it. Not just boring picture albums or slideshows.I created my "Drone Fund" two years ago. I sacrificed other luxuries to add to it. I consider it a total hobby item like Golf or sports events or even going to movies. I have an interest in pics/videos and am constantly shooting them with my Cell Phone. I just added a new dimension.

Maybe TODAY'S DRONE TIME?Yep, I plan to use it a lot videoing 4wheeling events. Sometimes the picture you need isn't worth the bodily risk to get in the right place!!!!
I'll post stuff when I get everything figured out. Right now I'm just trying to not crash it.
Coolest informational video I've seen was about the DJI Mavic. He landed it on his hand. Or rather, hovered where he could reach it and then killed the props after he had ahold of the landing gear. That's one of my goals as I get comfortable with the aircraft. Seems doable.
I need to have that "flight" confidence to get into the areas we wheel in. :shocked:
