Do the 2538 run a bit rough?

Loving my new 2538 but when moving and doing very little the tractor seems like it is hitting the governor on and off. It sounds great at first but after a while makes me wonder if they all do this? Kind of like running pretty fast across a hay lot and it gets bouncing. Not drastic by any means but never had a tractor sound quite like it.

common rail your hearing variations in fuel shots as the tractor needs it per stroke. Pretty cool actually once you see the read outs on the computer.. looks like a heartbeat... this has led to better cold cranks, and even vibration and engine noise.

Certainly could be it. Sounds cool at first but then can be a bit annoying. Sounds a bit like my truck did right when I let the clutch out only not as much. Thanks for the input.
