I used 2 feet of 4" Pvc attached to ROPS using carriage bolts.Holds a small cats paw hammer, wrenches pliers and assorted extras. Pressure cap glued on bottom and screw cap adapter on top. Water proof and better than factory box on my CK 20.

Looks nice. That would work really well for chain.

Did you drill the ROPS to insert the carriage bolts? Might cause problems if you try to trade it in at a dealer just because of liability issues with unauthorized changes to safety equipment. That said I cannot imagine there is any functional problem but watch for rust if the tractor lives outdoors. I guess an alternative attachment method just using hose clamps or maybe epoxying a mount to the ROPS might work too.

Used a 4" pvc pipe with a pressure cap on the bottom and a screw cap on top. Mounted with 3" carriage bolts through 5/16" holes drilled through ROPS. Used 1/4" acorn nuts on the outside to trim it off. Will take better photos On the weekend if need be. Picture also shows my solution for rear weight which also serves as a wheelie bar.
