DK65S with Bat Wing

Ok now I know I sell these things but I have heard of a mowing contractor that does power line mowing with the old 65's with bat wing mowers.
Now I have a new 65S here with a new Woods 15ft batwing on it just to be able to move it around the yard.
So the other day I got this wild hair and hooked her up PTO and the hyd lift. Took her out to our field (we have 11 acres) got her going and I'll be danged it cut awesome. Now the grass was not real tall and I ran her at a moterate speed but she lost no RPM and the Woods mowed like a finish mower.
It was impressive to look back and see a clean 15 foot path cleared.

Granted I would rather see a 80 plus pushing this but??

My question anyone know of similar application and is this realistic?

The DK65 should be plenty enough to power a 15ft. We have quite a few out there pulling these size cutters. Our Land Pride 15ft cutters only require 50 PTO HP. DK65 puts out closer to 58HP rear world PTO HP.

OK then I will push this unit.

And yeh it was fun to see all that cut in one pass.

I have to give credit to those road side mowers for weaving in and out of mail boxes and such cause it would take some getting used to.

I'll be using my 12' bushhog, although it is kind of a pain driving on the road for about 3 miles with a 12' implement behind you. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Yes that is the BW 180.

Hooked up good remotes operated the lift and height.

Very very quiet cab and oh no yellow flies.

How about dropping that combo off at my place for a trial run?????? I'm so jealous. I've wanted a 15' flex wing for a while. Just rolling across the pastures, looking back and seeing that 15' swathe would be awsome.
