DK65S gross hp ??

I'm curious as to why Kioti rates the DK65S with the Perkins 1103C-33T engine at gross 65 H.P. when Perkins rates the exact same engine at 74 BHP( brake horse power) which many consider to be gross horse power at the flywheel vs: net horse power at the wheels on the ground?

Not sure where Kioti's gross horse power is measured at? Anyone know?

Couldn't they have derated it with a modification to the fueling? Seem's that many versions of cummin's 5.9 engine are made with wildly different HP ratings.

You will note that Perkins is talking maximum power output. That is the engine alone, without any of the tractor things that rely on it. It will likely be rated at different HP for different applications.

The extra filtration that Kioti adds to the DK65S can change gross HP.
