Guys,

I bought a DK55 last year but never received the owners manual. I plan to get one sent to me soon, but I need some info. What type of hydraulic fluid does the DK55 use? Does it really matter if the wrong hydraulic fluid is used? Without knowing much about hydraulic fluid, I would think any hydraulic fluid sold at Tractor Supply would work....I'm sure I am wrong about that.

I've had a few issues with the tractor. Last week, I developed my second hydraulic leak and need to add some fluid.

Thanks for the help.

I just run a heavy duty tractor hydraulic/transmission fluid in my DK 35.

Thanks Vince. We have a JD Backhoe and we have plenty of hydraulic fluid that is JD 303 rated. I will use that. The 50 hour service is coming up in a couple of weeks, so the dealer will be adding new fluid anyway.

Have a great day!!!

That should be fine. Any quality hydraulic fluid is probably okay. Warren AW68 is another good one. TSC universal is also a good bet. I hope you're going to have the dealer fix the leaks. Usually turns out a connection is cross threaded, or an oring got squished by tightening a little too much. John
