my dk45 is 2010 and there are no seat switches at all. They told me when i purchased it that cab unit dont require seat switches because you cant fall out of the cab while operating it. I use my chipper all the time while out of unit.

Thank you!
My 2012 open station DK35se does not have a seat switch either. I don't think any of that line do. The owners manual covers the DK35se the DK40se the DK45se and the DK50se all in the same manual. No mention of seat switches. Very handy when using forks as you can stand up to get the fork tips guided into the pallets.
I'm surprised anyone has a tractor without a seat switch. My 2018 NX is a cab unit with a seat switch. I inserted a toggle switch bypass so I can turn it off when needed. As an aside, I manage to turn it on (make active) all the time because my arm hits it when I come off the loader control.
Yeiks..... only 10 years difference......Well, an interesting update...
The tractor is not a 2011...it's a 2001. A serial number search proved this out.
The seller is quite upset, as you might expect...he had taken the word of the owner before him. I offered $12K (asking price was $22900).
Too bad, nice tractor for $12K...
Roy you selling your Deere or just looking for a 2nd machine?
Sold it last Sunday...
I made an offer for the DK50...bit more realistic for the actual year, but the seller doesn't want to take that much of a loss
Also looking at a Deere 4052...more then I wanted to pay...nice tractor though
And, looking in general. I really liked the Kioti...just not for the price considering it was 19 years old. However, I'm getting quotes on adding a rear remote and a full service (all fluids, filters etc.) Might still make a deal
It sounds like he's going to wind up keeping it a bit longer. Not many folks are going to give him that much for a machine that's almost 20 years old. I'd tell him to give you a call if he reconsiders your offer and then walk away and start looking elsewhere. His fault for not doing his research.
Ended up going for the Deere 4052...a lot more money, but a lot nicer tractor...
So, that ends this thread...
Thanks for letting us know, Roy. You might post a photo of your new machine. You do know if you get a whole pack of Kioti's, they can take down a Deere?![]()
