Kioti DK40SEH
Well after reading and alot of shopping I decided on the DK40SEH. I looked at the CK35 but the sheer size difference and features on the DK sold me. We settled on a price of $21,425 with loaded tires, extra rear remotes and back blade. The next closest i had was a Kubota Grand L3540 and that was quoted at 23995. I drove them both and I liked the kioti for comfort and features. I did like the HST+ on the Kubota but for lift capacities and weight more than made up for the HST+ The last that I looked at was a new holland workmaster 40 for 19,200 and a YTM for 16,800. I am coming from a 1998 Kioti LK3054 and i had bought that used 2 years ago and never had a lick of trouble. Bought that for $4200 and sold for $8000. Not bad resale value :)

Hope I did good on my shopping! Looking forward to putting this to work. I will be adding the 72" HD grapple for the front as well.

I had to go with it both Kubota dealer and Kioti said to shy away from the Tier 4 for now. He has 1 more dk40 left. They are getting very thin! I was surprised every dealer I was at hate the Tier 4 engines.

They hate the price increase but the used tractor prices have gone up too. They could have got top dollar for that machine. Your very lucky to find one.

I did not know they were so rare. Glad I snapped one up now. This dealer is awesome. Been a kioti dealer since they started 20 years ago. Thats why I went with them well and the price.

Great machine, my DK45 has shocked me at its capability, the rocks i've been able to grab with the 66" grapple are huge! image.jpg

Looks awesome!! Can't wait till it is delivered. I cut alot of trees and split for winter use. I wanted a tractor with a strong FEL. I need to wait on the grapple for a month or so though. I was not sure between the 40 and 45 but the last 45 sold. But seeing as I was originally looking at 30 to 35 I figured 40 will be plenty! The FEL is the same.

Oh, wow! really good price on the DK 40 with the accessories You did really well. Seems like you did pretty good unloading the LK3054 too!

Welcome to the pack. Sounds like your decision process went much like mine - start out on the CK35 and quickly convince yourself that for not a whole lot of $'s more it's worth the jump to the DK40SE. I have no regrets. Check all the loader frame bolts and lug nuts when you get it. Like a lot of folks, some of mine needed retightened after just a small amount of use.

I will definitely check that out and thanks for the info. I can't wait to get it here and start getting her dirty. There is not much price difference but wow is there a size and capability difference!

I was and and still am a Kubota owner. Just bought all the stuff to do 1000 hour service on my Kioti 45SE. Never have had any problems and it is abused much harder than my Kubota. If I buy again Kioti would be at the very top of my list.
I dont think you will regret your purchase. I also think pre Tier 4 is smart.
I do dream of a 55 or 65 Kioti cab tractor, maybe after daughter finishes college.
Good Luck
Scott

my dk40se cab is on its way to my shop now. it was the last dk hydro cab dealer had left. I went to go get a 50 but none to be had. the nx line is very nice but prices are 5k more for that or a new Holland boomer 3050. the cvt on the boomer is a bit different and im not sure if it can be precise like a hydro. was told by dealer the hydro system is top notch on these and he doesn't see many issues.

Don't get a 72" HD grapple unless you have a very specific reason for needing one. 48-60" light duty will do just about anything you can imagine and lift MORE weight than the HD grapple.

Thanks for the update Stix!. hey a hat is "almost" as good as a tractor!:D I am sure you will love it. Welcome to the "pack"

If we can help with anything let us know.. Keep checking those wheel lug nuts and loader bolts for at least the first 100 hours, as they loosen up. Check (wouldnt hurt to use on locktite) on that loader indicator rod assembly. They are notorious for loosening up and the rod "wads" up like a pretzel. Good luck with everything.

I was to busy playing!! Well here she is.... I am very impressed with this tractor. Only put 3 hours on it. Had 1 when i bought it and it was the funnest 2 hours I have had in awhile. Tractor is alot stronger than what I am used to. 26hp lk3054 to a DK40 was a big jump and I am glad I did!!! Only bad part is they forgot my attachments. I will go get them but they are discounting them 25% for my troubles. Had a great day. Only 2 hours cause we had to goto the rodeo today. More work tomorrow. Not sure if I post here or the using forum so I posted in both spots. Forgive the excitement.

Yes! Unscrew it, put some Locktite on it and crank it down tight. Very high likelihood of grief/aggravation if you don't. I used blue locktite just in case I want to remove it for some reason.

The dealer did that already and also rounded the tip of the level indicator for smoother operation. He said there is a small gap in the tube that can catch. If ya round the top it won't catch. The loader on this is just a beast.
