DK40SE HST starting issue, Part 1 (Relay)

I am having starting issues with my 2012 DK40SE HST.

On my 3rd ignition switch in 12 years and it was working just fine (recently replaced) until all of a sudden, no start. When I turn the ignition switch, I get the click, which I am guessing is the fuel relay (??). Preheat light comes on, goes out, but nothing when I try to turn it over.

I want to replace the starter relay first (before going into the starter/solenoid questions that I have) and just want to be sure of a couple of things:

1. I think I pulled the starter relay. 12v, 30/20A. It has T4180-69961 Relay 5P written on it. It was the one to the left (when facing the rear of tractor) of 3 relays on the wall right behind the engine. The service manual says that this is the starter relay. Just wanted to be sure.
2. Do I have to go back to Kioti for a replacement? (75 minutes away for me) Or can I get one somewhere else? If somewhere else, where would I go for one of these?

Update-Second time around with Keyed Ignition Switch issue on my CK30

Hey guys, So for about 18 months I've been fighting with the ignition switch on my 2014 CK30 HST. Every once in a while I would have to spray some light oil into the switch and all would be good for a while. Eventually it got bad enough that I bought a new switch and installed it 2.5 months/25...

You just need one with the same pin configuration.

on my 2010 DK45 the actual relay was not as its listed in the manual. it was in the same area, but not as listed. i found the proper one by trial and error. had someone turn key while i held each relay.

Also check your battery leads, my tractor would stutter start, or just click with the engine not turning over. It turned out the ignition switch and relay were fine. It was the positive battery cable clamp, looked a bit corroded but OK on the outside but it had corroded around the copper wire somehow? I guess recycled lead with lots of other stuff in it?
Anyways, a new lead and its been fine for years now.

Relay finally installed.

And everyone (tractor and user) is happy!!

The relay solved the second problem (which I thought was solenoid related) and the tractor is starting and running fine.

I might be having the same problem with my DK45SE HST 2011. Can you post a link to where you got the replacement relay? Thanks

I just got mine thru my dealer. There not very expensive. My tractor uses 6-8 of these twin pole relays, so i bought 3 spares.
