Hi All

I am looking at DK 40 or 45 and have had a couple of different loaders quoted and have heard a few negative things about some of the Kioti loaders. I am looking for the advice of the experienced.

Firtly, the loaders I am looking at are:
DK 40 with a KL1470
DK 45 with a Rino 2409

The Rino 2409 has more breakout than the KL1470 (3700lbs vx 3400) but no advantage in pivot pin capacity. The dealer says the KL1470 is a better loader and that the price of the DK45 will be $600 more if I get the KL1470.

My question to the group is: Is there a loader(s) to stay away from and is there any agreement on the best FEL for the DK40 or DK45?

Thanks

I dont know much about the Rhino products, but I do know this:
If you get the DK45, get the 1590 loader. I was quoted about a $400 surcharge for it, but its lift capacity is 2500lbs and breakout force is 4000lbs. In addition, the bucket is self leveling, which I wanted.

Thanks Markie

The KL loader that was I quoted with the DK 40 was reputed to be a better loader and would be an addional $600. to have mounted on the DK45. Sounds like I can save some $ AND get the best lift and breakout capacity in the class. Good to know.

What is the quality on that loader?

Thanks

Loader build quality was good on the two I tried and saw. I did point out 2 loose nuts on the bucket pins, but I've read about loose nuts and bolts in every brand on this website. Paint quality is pretty thin compared to some and equal to many. The self-leveling thing is cool. I don't know any other loaders in the compact class that have this usable benefit. You should read some of the recent threads about zirk fitting coming out, but that seems to be an inexpensive fix.

In the Kioti loaders, I believe the 1470 is a specific animal for the DK-40. I'm not sure the 249 will mate up with the DK-40. I have the 249 on my DK-45 and I believe there are better loaders available. The DK-45 is a fine machine, but I'm not strong on Kioti loaders, nor do I subscribe to the theory that you should stick to the manufacturer's loaders. I believe it was a bushhog that I would have gotten if I had bought new. I like the idea of a true Mid-mount loader. I replaced the "heavy duty" bucket on my 249 with a skid steer bucket that really is heavy duty.
