No, the dealer did not bend the ears, my heavy foot shoving on a cold sluggish pedal did that. I am disappointed the dealer did not see that the ears were bent though. I straightened the ears by hammering them flat on an anvil. I worked them cold.

It took me about an hour to fix.

Wow again! Nice work straightening them out. Do the two ears and pedals separate or did you do the work with them as they show in the pics?
It's crazy that they can bend that much just by being used in cold weather conditions, good to know though for reference.

Actually, come to think of it, it probably wasn't me that bent them because it wasn't creeping backwards before I sent it in for service, only when it came back. Maybe not my heavy foot! I had to detach the pedals, disconnect the rod ends attaching the linkage to the ears, and then remove the screw holding he pedal arms on the pivot shaft. There is a cup washer and a spring that allows the pedal arms to float without binding. It was a fairly easy fix with just metric hand tools, a 2# rounding hammer, and a 154# Hay-Budden anvil! :-D

I meant the technician using the wrong tool on the coupler adjustment. I can't imagine not having a 10 mm wrench...it is such a common size. Of course I'm the guy who applies touch-up paint to the charcoal gray on the bottom of his tractor. Funny, all my vehicles are kept outside while my tractor resides in a cozy shed. My wife just smiles at my silliness...

What brand/color are you using for touch up on the frame's charcoal grey? Kioti, or something else that matches?

I use Kioti paint from my dealer. It runs about 13 bucks for a 12 ounce rattle can. I dislike the price, but want a matching paint. Note the color of the cap does not match the paint.

I had the same thing happen to my Dk50 hydro after the 50 hr service which I did myself. Nothing was bent. I adjusted a small linkage maybe 2 inches long to get it to stop. I switched over to Amsoil ath. I wonder if that had anything to do with it

Thank you for the write up! Its seems there may be a correlation to the fluid change and a reverse creep issue. I did the 50 fluid and filter change so no dealer problem. It just seemed a little coincidental that it was only an hour or 2 of use and then it was sticking the next time I used it. I thought I may have overfilled it because I added fluid twice before it started to show on the dip stick. I think I added more than what the book says but it still doesn't read over the line.

Illini22, I wonder if you put some more hours on since the fluid change if the possible air in the new fluid might work it's way out and the creeping backwards might solve itself? It's a WAG on my part, and maybe others with similar symptoms can comment on this idea?

I would think that if it was air in the fluid causing the problem, then there would be cases of creeping forward as well as backward.
