DK40 fuel filter too tight?

Has anyone else had problems with installing a new fuel filter element on a DK40? It seems like all the Kioti OEM Fuel Filter Element 84612-43160 openings are just a slight bit too small.

My DK 35 takes the same filter.
Never had a problem.

I wonder if he small rubber O-ring slipped out of the groove!

I've found that after-market fuel filters, such as MF1523, have a bore that is aprox. .012 less in diameter than kioti 84612-4316-0
The after-market filters just won't fit on my dk-40.
I ordered a wix, it supposed to have the correct bore, we'll see!
