DK40/FEL stress test

This is a 6'x30" section of a Red Oak windfall that I will be bringing up from the creek where it lies.After struggling to get it to stay in the bucket and creeping up the path from the 100' gorge it rolled off into my driveway after snapping the second picture.....Mike.

That's a big load to have so high in the air. Did you get any rear lift of the tires? I guess the boxblade is heavy enough to keep the rears grounded.

Make sure you have your ROPS up and seatbelt on when you move a load like that!

You say it rolled off, was that when you started moving again?
Adding a toothbar to your bucket if there isn't one (can't see one) would go a long way to helping you keep loads like this in the bucket. They're not all that costly, and make a world of difference.

John,It was a little light in the loafers but,managable.The tires are loaded and the box blade is reinforced with plenty of C-channel from the original tractor crate.
I normally would'nt carry it that high but,because of the limited curl I had to just to keep it in there,I'll wrap it with a come-a-long the next trip...thanks for your concern...Mike.

The rollback really isn't sufficient is it? I'd heard that from some owners, but I hadn't actually seen it. Looks like it's only about 28 degrees. would be much better at 35. John
