Bought a new DK35 which I really like. I have the subframe backhoe attachment, among other things, which was a pistol to get off. So the first question is about positioning the attachment on the ground. Do you guys have any hints on how, and where, to position the thing so that I can get it on and off as easily as possible?

Second question. Lots of hot sun in Georgia so the seat was warm to say the least. Thinking about the sunshade but I'm not sure how much it costs. I've seen umbrellas by Snowco but I'm not sure if they do the job, although it appears they would be cheaper. I would like to get any opinions.

Finally, I bought the rototiller and the box blade attachment. We do a fair amount of lawn installation which means breaking up of virgin ground. Will the box blade tear it up enough so the rototiller can do it's job or do I need to get something more- like a plow or harrow?

I appreciate any responses. Never used a tractor for business before - but learning. More flexible than the skid steer. Thanks

Welcome to TBN Natural!
Congrats on the purchase of a fine tractor. As for the BH on/off, I've found it best to put the stabilizers out, the bucket down and simply move the two until you can see that there is space in the brackets for it to move out and the pins loose. Sometimes you have to play with the stabilizers and bucket position until you get them just right, but it gets really easy after only a few times. Make sure you're on good firm ground, something that won't allow the BH to settle before you can get it off.
I can't help with sunshade or umbrellas as I never use one.
My limited experience with a tiller says that you don't need the boxblade at all to tear up the turf. The tiller is tough and should do the job just fine. If you find it labored at first, make a shallower cut at first. I really doubt you'll need to boxblade rip the turf at all except maybe for leveling.
I hope this helps, and enjoy learning all about your new tractor. John

Taking off your hoe should take about one minute. Alittle outrigger pressure the bucket extended and on the ground, pull the pins etc, etc. Now if it was jammed on by the dealer and never clearenced for a smooth fit yeah it is a bugger.

The sunshades from kioti are pretty nice nothing that you would want to take on and off. Also lots of luck getting them I keep them on order and get a dribble every now and then. I have resorted to a umbrella that clamps to the ROPS and is easy to remove for highway travel, is orange, is about $110.

But who needs a sunshade these things have headlights, do it at night..
