DK 55 Will not starting

Well I pull the hook on a 2nd hand DK55. I have had it for about 3 weeks. The machine is a 2005 with a little over 700 hours on it. It seem to run fine until today. I did notice that it would run a little rough for about 3-5 minutes on start up but then smooth out. Well it has been sitting for about 5 days and tonight I went to go start it with no luck. The glow plug light comes on and it cranks over but does not seem to fire up. Any ideas where to start?

The first thing I would check is to see if the glow plugs are getting power.
The glow plug light may be coming on, but the power may still not be getting to the glow plugs.
If I remember right, my DK 35 did that when the glow plug timer was faulty. The light would come on but the glow plugs were getting no power.

Take a voltmeter and make sure the glow plugs are actually getting power. Are the glow plugs OK? Running rough until warm is typical of some bad glow plugs.

Check the stop solenoid to be sure the injection pump is not held in the shutoff position. Is the battery voltage high enough to spin the engine at at sufficient RPM?

Today I went out there to see what I could do and it turned out to be a very simple fix. The fuel cut off solenoid was stuck close. I don't know how it happened but the kill switch steel cable had some how gotten stuck forcing it closed. I am glad thats all it was. Thanks for the help though.
