Oil & Fuel DK 35 LOADING UP WITH FUEL

I HAVE A DK 35 WITH 4015 HOURS THAT WILL RUNN FROM 3 TO 15 MINUTES AND STARTS SMOKING AND LOADS UP WITH FUEL AND DIES. HAVE TO PULL START TO START.
HAS ANYONE HAD A SIMILAR PROBLEM? WOULD WELCOME ANY SUGGESTIONS. STARTS FINE COLD.

does it die suddenly,as if you turned the key off...
or does it sort of wind down and slowly fizzel out?
First place I'd start is the fuel filter, fuel tank, lines... make sure someone has not "helped you out" by putting water in the tank..

Did I read those hours correctly?? 4015?? I'd start off checking what Virgil mentioned, and then let us know what you find out. Looks like you aren't too from me down here in Kansas.

If it was loading up with fuel enough to shut the motor down you would have extreamly heavy black smoke.
I agree with the others, most likely bad fuel, plugged filter or fuel line .
Wouldn't hurt to make sure the fuel tank vent is clear also.
