1/2 in Lexan is very heavy. You should be using something like 1/16 thk.

What thickness of lexan do you guys recommend? 1/2 in? Also what's the best ( read cheapest ) source online and off ( b&m stores )? I'm trying to price everything out.

I like to use 1/4".

Fiberglass boat wax contains a scratch hiding ingredient that was the secret in "Glass Wax" which before that was a Defense Department formula for helicopter / fighter plane Windshield scratch remover. I use it at the Crown Golf Club to "fix" scratches in golf car windshields. So you could go with the modern glass bubble look tractor cabs have taken, for your DIY cab.
