I am getting ready to install a flashboard riser to regulate the water level in my duck pond. I have priced several, but they look like they should be fairly easy to fabricate. Has anyone ever built one of these? any pictures or comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

The new move in enviromental protection is to keep Cresote , and any Pressure treated wood away from water ways. I think hemlock? or doug fir or cedar or redwood are good choices.

Never gave it any thought but how about the new plastic decking?? We installed 10's of thousands of sq ft as sound barriers, so it should last a long time. Of course that'll probably be next on the toxic waste list like tires.

What is the configuration of your dam's outlet? Are you putting the board on a riser structure or on an overflow spillway? A picture of what you are modifying would help me help you.

This is what I want to build. It will go onto the upstream side of a 24" culvert.
