On smaller tires, I have used my log splitter with some wood blocking. Works quite well for me.

On large tires I just use one of the teeth on the backhoe. For smaller truck sized tires I have one of the cheap Harbor Freight bead breaker, tire remover tools.

I very nearly bought one of those until I read that they were prone to failure, bending as I recall. So I got creative instead.

I have a tire machine at the farm but needed to change a valve stem a while back here at the house, just laid a section of channel iron on the tire and drove up on it. Simple, cheap and quick.

If you own a log splitter and some scraps of metal that will also do the trick! (if U can lift and position the tire, that is)
