Sickle Bar disk or sickle mower???

Guys I have an oppertunity to buy a new holland 6' disk mower for 900 bucks from one neighbor, or a ford 7' sickle bar for 200 bucks. Both were cutting last year. I'll be running it on a kubota MX5000. My delimma is the disk mower has been run hard. i am affried the bar will drop. My dad got an 8 footer for $2500 and got two cuttings and the bar tore up and it was not worth fixing. I have 5 to 20 acres. I have a newholland 256 rake and will be getting my father-in laws old Mcormick bailer. I think i am going for the sickle bar any ideas?

I have used a sickle for 2 years and a disc for 1 year. with the saving in time and money and stitches. If my disc mower broke beyond repair tomorrow, i would walk right into Agri-supply and buy a brand new 9 foot for the 5k they cost.
i bought mine used, its old (00-01)
and is 8 foot wide no rollers.
Now i farm 150 acres....not 5-20. so in your case the sickle wont be much of a difference. but i can cut 45 acres a day..with the little disc i have Easy.
I will never go back.
But then again. I'm 19(almost 20) and have alot to learn.

For the amount you have to cut I'd go for the sickle if its in good condition.
