Great video. Got to love those dualies. Do we get a before and after picture of the whole project?

Homebrew, you're too quick for me. Now if you can just point to all the ones about Hydros can't be used for ground engaging equipment, you know lose too much HP and can't take the heat...

Here is a thread with a discussion about not using hydro for ground engaging equipment! Don't know if it's the one you are thinking of or not!

Milkman and Iowachild.

Reading that thread it sure looke dlike the general consensus was that gear may have an advantage over hydro for heavy tillage and ground engaging.. but I dind't see a single post that said that a hydro can not pull a plow.. etc...

Bif difference in 'can not' and 'some disadvantage'...

Here's one.

Thanks for the pics. I admit I've never saw anything like that!!! I'm always looking for new ideas and this one caught me offguard. You definately have a one of a kind BX for sure!!!!! I have visions of loader work in soft sand!!! :)

That is one stout looking BX and an excellant video.

But did you subsol that area first? At that last turn it didn't seem like the disk was cutting that much in the virgin soil. Just wonder if the disks are to light, didn't have them turned in enough, etc?

As far as the hydro, I have a gear but with the hst don't you have to keep your foot on a pedal at all times? One thing I love about geared tractors is I can get it going then put my feet anywhere I want. I don't have to hold on to anything but the steering wheel.
