Disappearing CT335

I was looking at the CT235 and the CT335 and from a wt and power standpoint it seemed there wasn't much difference. The 335 was a beefier machine, which in my book equates to a longer life span and lower breakage rate. But it was in a definitely higher cost bracket than the 235, especially when you got attachments scaling up too.

Finished the paperwork on a new CT335 and getting it delivered on Saturday. I went in pricing out a 235 but the good price on the 335 won me over. I am sure I won't be disappointed. The 335 is a much beefier machine and it's too bad Bobcat is dropping it from the line-up.

Congrats Rolandman. As a satisfied ct335 owner, I agree that you made the right choice.

Enjoy the new tractor.

I thought the same. MORE METAL has to be a good thing

I was talking to my Bobcat sales guy the other day and he confirmed the company is dropping the 335. Said it was because there was too much overlap between it and the 235. 225, 230, and 235 are all on the same frame; so definite economies for manufacturing and maintenance for the company. I don't remember if the 335 is a bigger frame or not; it is about 600 pounds heavier than the 235. Think I'll run over to Chichester Saturday and look.

The 335 is a larger frame tractor.
The reason why we will no longer have a 335 is emissions.
Apparently Daedong can't squeeze the emission BS in that frame. I would imagine that something will replace it sooner or later.

Now that the EPA has entered the conversation, maybe the 440 will be knocked down to a 435:( (sorry for the pessimism)

What kind of emission BS are they putting into their new tractors that won't fit?

It's the Teir 4 emmissions requirements.

Looks like the solutions are an extra exhaust filter and a catalytic converter. If the cat converters on a tractor are anything like they are on cars, they'll take a chunk of hp right out of your engine.

I have about 6 on my lot right now. This is or I guess should say was my sweet spot tractor. We sell quite a few of them.
