When posting click on "markup" above your post and see what your have to type in to make this stuff appear, or to color your text, make a link, etc.

Now I want to know how Harv is using his own stuff. Are you making a link to an offsite website to access your little drawings?

Bradey, You are correct on the saving off pics with the highest resolution possible. I have been 'hounding' the wife to take all pics in the 'fine' setting (highest resolution on the cameras) and saving them off in bmp format (default on software).
We save everything to internal drive zip disks. When the total reaches around 650 mb of storage, then it is organized into 'Albums' and copied to CD-R. I have been using CD-RW as the storage medium on my computer, and that makes for an easy transfer to CD-R. That way, we DO have the highest resolution possible saved off, and any pic can be opened, edited, and saved off as a jpeg file for 'net' use. I do not like to store data off on the hard drive as I have had to replace them before, and would not want to lose data when one goes bad. Backup? Not on my home systems! Each has an original install cd that I made for each one, and the basics can be copied off it onto a new drive, but data is still out there on other medium with nothing lost or damaged.

Yes, just use the image markup tag to put an image in your post... if you don't have access to web space, just do this...

1) Upload the image to the forum using the attachment tool in a message. You can do this in the feedback forum or something if you are just posting a message with only the attachment. This will upload that image to a directory at http://www.tractorbynet.com/forumfiles/...

2) Once attached to a message and in the forum files directory, right-click on the link to the attachment in the message and select 'Copy Shortcut'. This will put the URL for that image in your clipboard.

3) Enter that URL inside of the image markup tag... and presto.

If you do have access to web space, just refer to the image where you store it.

Hope this helps...

Speaking of digital photos...

I carry my camera (Olympus C-2500L Digital) with me a lot 'just in case' there is a photo worth shooting. Well I caught this little mini harvester at work near Davenport, Iowa on Wednesday... and I would have taken a photo of what I thought was a crashing blimp somewhere in the midwest, but I couldn't get to my camera in time... I guess they land that way since it was on the ground a couple minutes later. Weird.

BTW, if the color correction on the photo is off, I apologize... since I'm on a laptop now I can't see the quality I usually do on my graphics workstation. /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

Muhammad, do we have the ability to put photos in our profiles -- of ourselves, our equipment, our property, etc. In this way, we could create albums for each other to see.

I think Muhammad mentioned that the new site redesign (when he gets back from Iowa?) is going to have a "gallery" of all kinds of user's equipment. Can't wait.

It is already underway, Glenn! You guys will really enjoy this feature... you'll be able to do a whole lot more than post photos. More once we're closer to actually offering it. Site redesign will include many new features.

Muhammad, will the site redesign incorporate improvements for posting and viewing for the majority (unregistered) users?

I also use an hp 1100. It's got some nice features for printing right off the memory card when you want a quick printout. With our 3 megapixel Olympus we get near photo quality prints
