The manual for my 2011Kioti DS4510 specifies 90W gear oil. I already have some fresh 90W differential oil (rated GL 5).
Is it ok to use instead of what is labelled as "Gear Oil"

Yes, there are gears in a differential so it's the same lubricant. GL5 is a pretty common gear oil, I use GL5 in all my axles: tractor, jeep, 3 axle truck, etc.

Thanks. I wasn't sure if oils sold as differential oils might contain additives harmful to any parts in a tractor front axle
