My particular tractor uses a heated screen in the intake system instead of glow plugs. I would worry that the heated metal screen would ignite the either or propane long before it got into the combustion chamber.
Last week it was cold for Central Texas 15*f and I start the tractor. Forgot all about the cold weather procedure but it started right up. Guess winterizing the diesel might have helped.
