Wife got 2 hats, I got 2 hats and we both got a Dri-Duck Jacket; hers a medium and mine a large. :thumbsup:

I finally had to admit to myself that my black (actually grey from the UV rays) JD ballcap could not be washed one more time... it truly was distressed & falling apart after 5 years and 7 washings. So, during my next trip into Longford I stopped by my dealership to buy a new hat. They didn't have any black ones, so I bought a green one.
As I was about to leave, the manager came out for a chat (no reason, just because). It came up in the conversation about the green ballcap and he simply walked over to one of their service utes, grabbed a black 'dealership' JD cap and gave it to me.
No, I didn't return the green one... that would've been rude.

I got a hat when I bought my B2620, wasn't really my style so I never wore it. I do all my own maintenance so don't go to the dealer other then look at new tractors and buy the occasional OPE equipment.
Bought a couple parts for a small engine over the phone and when I went to get them (it was after hrs and they left the parts in a job site box next to the building) there was a nice Kubota hat in the bag!
Guess that means I need to go buy that new loaded B26 I've been dreaming about..............

A friend bought a new $10,000 Ski Doo snowmobile and they charged him $15.00 for a hat!! When I bought mine the next year from a different dealer I just asked asked' how much does a guy have to spend here to get a hat? The owner just said 'take whatever one you want".

When I went to buy a new Stihl Saw Mom was with me for the ride... she was 80 then and told the owner what a nice place he had as he was ringing up the sale.
He disappeared for a moment and came back with Stihl Hat AND a T-Shirt for her... it was a most generous gesture and when we were driving home she asked me if I shop there a lot or knew the owner...
Told her I had never been to the shop before and only called to check stock that morning and asked to hold it as I would be there in an hour.
Also told Mom it was all her that made the good impression!

I also got the great deal on a Kubota tractor...and that means more than a cap anyway.
So I wear my John Deere hat all the time. The JD is a two-cylinder JD530 now 60 years old and works great - not too differently from how it ran some 40 years ago. As for the cat, the JD cap has got the ventilated plastic screen top which I prefer. Two great tractors, one good hat. That's OK.
