Did I Make a Mistake?

I was told the other day by my local Mahindra service tech that these tanks are on back order and have been. They ARE being redesigned and will be mounted with bands.

ETA was unknown.

That’s interesting...banding the tank to something (removable plate or tractor itself) was one of many ideas I and other posters brain stormed (exceptional ideas) on this forum to resolve this issue. The 2600 series has been out for sometime thus why the slow response in fixing this issue? It’s not brain surgery so I’ll assume it’s profit motive (greed).

Thanks,

Chris

If you've read the Mahindra manuals, we'd be blessed indeed if they took some of our suggestions and used full sentences and proper english.

****, maybe they will take some of the diagrams so you can actually see what they are talking about

Glad to hear you're at least getting something going, I've loved my Mahindra, but parts can be slow and some things aren't designed the best for access or maintenance. But I see just as many issues on the other brands sections

Totally agree with the statement "But I see just as many issues on the other brands sections". I researched all the brands before buying and found issues with each and every manufacture on various forums. Complaints ranged from serious malfunctions to simple fixes. In several case I found the manufactures were not stepping up and resolving issues. Today's manufacture seems to built it and leave it to the consumer to take the financial hit of repairs which in many cases should have been resolved with better R&D. Example; owned a Ford focus with the "new" automatic transmission. The car would shake and rattle when shifting gears. Took it to the dealer who insisted it was normal for that transmission. I knew the transmission had seal failures allowing fluid to enter the clutch area causing the condition. Ford finally started a buy back program. The buy back is rather a joke as Ford still made money on the vehicles. In essence; Ford took advantage of people who probably could barely afford a car by giving them a poor design which resulted not only in huge repair bills, after the warranty period, but loss of use during the repair. Seems like the majority is financing the life style of the few...

Thanks,

Chris

We also need to take into consideration that the Internet is where people will rant, vent, rage and whatever. So we end seeing much more negative posts than we see positives.

I never write positive reviews. Why? Its my expectations that they do their job correctly and produce a product that lasts without issues after taking my hard earned money.

I don't need to pat them on the back because they happened to produce something that worked.

This is true however I do leave positive reviews if I have had a reasonable experience. Most don't voice an opinion unless they had a negative experience. I tend to read reviews with some skepticism and mainly look for tends. Most of the time the trends, if similar, tell the story.

Thanks,

Chris

I totally agree with this - we're paying reasonable money so we should receive a reasonable product which is suitable and usable for the marketed purpose.

I wasn't actually speaking about reviews but more about forum posts, facebook posts, etc. I honestly don't even read reviews. Most is just non sense or lack of the ability to use and understand the product.

Some people will go to the dealer with this arrogant attitude demanding they must fix their product under warranty, often issues caused by their own fault, and then they don't like what they hear and come complain on forums. Of course, this will leave the negative feedback of the dealer/product but we don't hear the other side of the story either.

Others come asking for advice on forums and we never get to hear what happened in the end. Most of the cases the dealer just did what he needed to do, otherwise I'm sure we would hear another complain.

That being said, we do get some positive posts every once in a while. Which is very nice to hear. A nice change over the negative stuff.

I'm probably not explaining my self right. It makes a lot more sense in my brain.
